We Have A Winner
As the votes stand now, on Sunday, the 6th of Iyar, 5765 — May 15th, 2005, a winner has been declared in my search for a new picture. I have tallied up the responses, both here and at DovBear's place, and come to the following conclusions:
Picture #1 (The Formal Headshot) — While it might be fun to portray myself as a member of the politburo or the KGB, i am not nor have i ever been a "Mir bochur" or a "total greased out frummy".
Picture #2 (Up A Hharuv Tree) — This picture got no negative votes whatsoever! On the other hand, it didn't get any positive votes either... And it's a little elongated. I'll use it somewheres else.
Picture #3 (I Cropped Out My Friend Navit) — While I do appreciate the suggestion to crop myself out and leave Navit instead, this picture did get three positive votes!
Picture #4 (Herding Goats Offscreen) — One 'yes' vote, and one 'nerd' vote. Considering the fact that i am somewhat of a nerd, i thought of counting that as a plus; however, even with two votes in its favor, the Herding Goats action shot didn't make the cut.
Picture #5 (Overlooking The Kineret) — I fail to see what the Godol Hador saw in this picture to describe it, too, as nerdy, but it's sort of blurry anyway, and has half an automatic datestamp, so... in the trash it goes.
Hence my new picture.
And that's a wrap.
No more posts on this pseudo-blog / anti-blog / mini-blog of mine.
Really!
Well, maybe one day...
Why do i feel the icy cold grip of the blog-ghost of MoChassid settling over my fingers?
If you feel like throwing in some late votes, they may be taken into consideration.
Thanks for visiting, come back soon, buhbye!
(oh my aching jetlag)

Good Choice!
Why did you start a blog if you don't plan to blog on it?
I bet you have a very interesting take on all things Jewish due to your diverse background, don't keep it from your "public".
Well, i started it because since i'm bad at names and faces (definitely a handicap for a teacher), i like to see the people who i converse with online, if possible. So i thought that if i put up a picture of myself, some of my favorite bloggers will reciprocate. Sort of an "i'll show you mine if you show me yours" thing, but that was the idea.
And, every so often i do get the urge to start a blog of my own, and write posts and put them up and have people comment and all that. Unfortunately, since i have neither the scholarship nor the cojones under my belt that, say, the ADDeRabbi or Mobius have, i feel somewhat intimidated.
Hey ya never know, now that this thing is up here i might end up actually using it sooner or later :-P ...
Thanks for the support, though!
I look forward to it :)
So far this blog hasn't been as compelling as I'd hoped.
Sorry, but i did say in my first post that i wasn't planning on using it as a real full-blown blog for the forseeable future.
For now it's just a "hi, here i am, this is me" page for people who read my comments on other people's blogs.
