All You Jews Bloggers Look Alike
This past Shabbos, at the end of shul in the morning, I was folding my tallis and putting it back in its bag (permitted by R' Moshe Feinstein for those of us who don't like other people messing with our stuff! ahem), when a guy who had been sitting in the row behind me addressed me as follows:
Uh... no.
“Excuse me, are you Rabbi Gil Student?”
Uh... no.

I have a feeling that wouldn't happen to me. :)
Ha! You should have used the Jedi mind trick on him.
I posted something similar to this a while ago.
In my community there's a well known pediatrician who's medium height, slighting balding and clean shaven.
I'm short and frumpy but with a thick head of hair (other than under my kippah) and a full beard.
Yet I've been twice mistaken for him!
He does kinda look like you...
Okay. That's ... odd. Could've been worse (odder). You could've been mistaken for me.
It's already happened to three people I know.
Well, I mistook you for another blogger (whom I have not yet met in person) based upon your ha'avarah... so it is not as far-fetched as we might imagine.
(You davened for the omud in Mt Sinai one motzai shabbos a long while ago, when I was in WH for shabbos).
