A Gut Un Gezuntait Yaw

When it turned 2004 (if i remember correctly),
my brother commented:

2004 isn't a year!
It's the setting for a bad sci-fi movie!

A few days ago I realized,
while contemplating the new year 5766:

ה'תשס"ו isn't a year, either!
It's the sound you make when you sneeze

התשסו
ACHOO
התשסו
ACHOO

...get it?

And have a happy Yerahh Ha’eitanim, everybody...

talking about things your brother said, i dont believe that the JP and JW together make a whole paper anymore. the JP is much less than half a newspaper.

and i always thought it sounded like "yum-tave-im" with an M in the YUM.

Ah okay.

I wasn't sure whether that was an M or an N in there, so i went with the more expected (nasal-assimilated-to-following-place-of-articulation) one. I'll change it.

The התשסו ACHOO התשסו ACHOO thing is really silly.

By the way, don't you still have to post the sound clip of the "special" תקיעה (when the cracked shofar is filled with a "special" material)?

Don't forget to include EG's line: "That's sedheq with a samekh, not sedheq with a sadhi."

Uh... "special"? This doesn't have to do with the din of pat yisra’eil, does it? I'm drawing me a blank with the special teqi‘a...

Heh, sedheq with a sadhi... and most definitely not with a lthslhin!

That's path yisra'el. (As in, "Don't worry; we have enough path for the whole minyaan.")

The "special" תקיעה: remember, if you fill up the sedheq with meh-TAHL or pla--? (I don't want to give it away. If you still don't get it, I'll give you a call.)

OOOOOOOOOH yes ataðakkar! (as they would say)

Heh... yeah that'll be up soon. Relatively, like on the Motzaey or something; i don't want to mess with the order of the universe by making more than one blog post on the same day!
