The Seven Meme
IN OTHER NEWS...
My blog broke. Half the template got deleted, and so the blog was coming up blank even though everything was still in the system. With Alan Scott's help, I was able to recover the template from Google's cache (the WebArchive Wayback Machine didn't have me in it), and at the same time I changed the color scheme since some very important people had said the white-on-black was hurting their eyes. Hopefully everything'll be back to normal soon.
Spanish mucho = Judeo-Spanish muncho מונגֿו

upstate rocks. I can only assume you are referring to upstate NY.
Interesting. I get white-text/black-background complaints too.
And no, I didn't ignore the meme. I'll get there.

Amen! (i.e., same here)

You mean, from Godol? I mentioned that to Steg about two hours ago.
Yeah, from Godol.
Jewish Exile:
Of course, is there any other Upstate? It's like The City, or The Island ;-) .
OrthoMomOf4:
So what do you think of my new color scheme?
After putting the meme up I was worried that I'm imposing on people by doing what amounts to a chain letter (although without the gruesome consequences).
Mar Gavriel:
I forgot to tell you before, but when i said "very important people" i was primarily referring (if i'm remembering correctly) to Rav Slifkin.
Hi! I saw a link coming from you! I'd be happy to link to you from my blog - would appreciate a link in return! Nice and very interesting read here!

Thrush, Amshi?
Steg, how do you prnounce the hesitation sound "er"? As schwa?
I like it. I'm afraid to make the switch. Brand recognition and all that.
Better color scheme. Shkoyach. :)
Thanks!!!!
MG:
syllabic R. i.e., how all good (semi)rhotic-dialect Americans pronounce it when we encounter it in British literature ;-)
OM:
Thanks! Feel free to keep the white-on-black flame alive yourself :-)
MFM:
thanks!
Z:
no problem!
white-on-black flame
White fire on black fire? What's that, the anti-Torah?
Ouch.
Done, btw.
Eternal gratitude if you can get Baynonim to come out of retirement !
Golda Leah:
i wish i could!
I sent him an email months and months ago, probably around when i started my own blog, but i never got a response. I hope he's okay.
I can't drive a stick shift either.
I refuse to believe you don't speak another language. Not possible! You have that "I speak many other languages" appearance down-pat!
Being able to appreciate biblical poetry: I envy.
I prefer manual gears (stick-shift). Feel more in control.
Visit Norway: "Hei" is their standard greeting: that'll come naturally for you.
Visit Australia: come here and get the locals to teach you what our 'bush-tucker' looks like. Sound like you have a knack for it!
I do speak a number of other languages, i'm just not fluent in them. To me, "fluent" means never stumbling over words you can't remember how to translate.
